Business Motivation Model Training

Business Motivation Model - Add-on Course

For organizations seeking to model their business motivation constructs using a standard notation.

Why Choose This Course?

The course appeals to organizations looking for a semantically rich notation that is specifically designed for modeling high level business concerns. The BMM standard allows the modeler to formally capture business related metadata that usually resides in a plethora of documents, spreadsheets, Visio diagrams or other artifacts, into the same repository where business processes, Use Cases, requirements and many other analysis & design objects reside, opening the way for end-to-end traceability.

Course Overview

The Business Motivation Modeling (BMM) course covers the official OMG™ standard notation as implemented in the Enterprise Architect tool.

BMM allows the capture of the business ends (visions, goals, objectives,...), means (strategies, tactics, rules, ...) impacts, SWOT assessments and influencers (customers, partners, resources,...).

Besides teaching the notation, the course instructs the student on the SWOT Analysisuse of the core tool features such as searching and documentation generation.
In addition to hands-on exercises and best practice recommendations, the material includes a set of non standard business-related artifacts and diagrams provided by Sparx Systems:

- Balanced scorecard.
- Strategy map.
- Value chain.
- Flowchart.
- Org chart.
