UN/CEFACT Modeling Methodology (UMM) Training

UN/CEFACT Modeling Methodology - 2 Day Course

For organizations seeking to model a global choreography of their inter/intra-company business processes and information exchanges using a standardized notation.

Why Choose This Course?

The course appeals to organizations looking for a relatively simple yet powerful notation in which to model a global choreography of the inter-organizational business processes they engage in, and the information  being exchanged. Based on a UML® profile, the UMM standard developed by the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and e-Business  allows a service-oriented collaboration architecture to be modeled in a platform independent way.

Course Overview

unece-logoThe UN/CEFACT Modeling Methodology (UMM) training covers the official UMM 2.0  notation as implemented in the Enterprise Architect tool.

UMM allows the definition of a business requirements view (partners, stakeholders, process areas, Use Cases, entities...), a choreography view (roles, actions, transactions, collaborations, protocols, ...), and an information view (data).

Besides teaching the notation, the course instructs the student on the use of the core tool features such as searching and documentation generation, and includes an end-to-end exercise.

Who Should Attend?

Business/system analysts, architects and designers wanting to learn a dedicated notation for building global service-oriented collaboration architectures.
